Our Projects

Planning what to do during gap? Want to take vocation abroad to enjoy the sunshine and the beach, but on the other hand to be productive enough so your cv can be enhanced after the break... Why not combine the two?
CityTravelReview (CTR) provides placement that send you to Germany, France, Spain, Scotland, England so you can pick up a new language or improve it, travel around the city, and at the end publish a travel guide which you can really make money if people buy it!
It is very simple. In the morning, you have your language class to understand the culture better. And then in the afternoon, you troll around the city to discover the local flavour. Meanwhile, you collect useful materials to work on the travel guide with your teammates. You will be supported by workshops conducted by journalists and other professionals, and sent to different media institutions to gain better insight of the media and publishing industry.
After a month (or longer), you will be leaving with a new language, a better understanding of a foreign culture and city, a bunch of good friends, and a once-in-a-lifetime memory.

We arrange groups to travel, study and work on cultural team projects across various different locations within Europe. This year we are concentrating on the European cities located in

Lyon, France
Madrid, Spain
Barcelona, Spain
London, England
Edinburgh, Scotland

What is the project about?
Group work.
After selection, project members are placed in peer groups that have members of the team with complementary skills.
Pick up a new language.
In the morning, project members attend language classes on a regular basis and in the afternoons they gain and develop hands-on experience working as travel researchers and review journalists within a project team.
Publish your own tourist guide.
At the end of the project, project members will publish a professional online tourist guide aimed at young people and students visiting a capital city.
Enjoy your holiday.
Apart from working on the project, project members are given plentiful chance to explore the city and have fun with their newly made friends. During most afternoons they are out and about on project related visits within the city and surrounding areas. Typical project visits include visiting museums, walking tours, visiting local areas, tourist attractions, historical sites and the highlights of an amazing city. After all, if one never has a great coffee in town, how can one show the best café in the tourist guide!
