Usually 1 month, while Berlin offers program varies from 1 to 3 months.

What is the benefit of going abroad through the CityTravelReview?
Our aim is to do something different and a little daring within a short gap period. We arrange groups to travel, study and work on cultural team projects across various different locations within Europe. These are gap periods of 3-12 weeks which mix a lethal cocktail of study, work and a lot of fun! Our projects attract undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates along with young professionals taking time out of their usual day job to add new skills to their CV or portfolio.


What do I do in a project?
The ultimate mission: You will publish an online tourist guide at the end of the project, and all profits gained will be split among project members.
But there are lots more – you will obtain primary source through exploring the city thoroughly and pick up publishing skills from professional workshops. While traveling abroad, language class is organized so you can brush up on the foreign language.

Can I travel after my program?
Sure! The longer you stay in a place, the better you can understand it. If times allow, it is always great to stay behind and keep exploring.

Can I extend my program once I arrive?
Any shortening or extension of program is impossible as the schedule and availability of accommodation is fixed. In case of emergency, our on-site staff will offer immediate help.


Eligibility
What qualification is required to participate in the project?
We look for peple from all backgrounds.  No specific qualification is required.

Is there a minimum age for participating in the project?
Yes, applicant must be at least 18.

What are the language requirements?
You may meet project members from other countries, and communication is conducted usually in English. Depending on the destination, a foreign language course is incorporated. There are no special requirements; you will be enrolled in a suitable class according to your level.


VISA and Insurance
Do I need a visa to participate?
It depends on the passport you hold and the destination you go. Contact our CTR staff and ask for more information!

Do I need an insurance to participate?
Yes, all project members must have health insurance and we advise totake out travel insurance.

University/College students
Is credit transfer possible at my home university?
The project is fully accredited and you are able to obtain credit as long as you meet the requirement of your university. If you wish to get credit for the project, contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you and your university to obtain credit. 

How can I access to scholarships or funding?
Contact us to request help and we will try our best to help with that. You may also turn to your university or organisation to check if there is related funding available!

Program Features
How many people will be in a project?
Group sizes vary from a minimum of 6 people to a maximum of 60 people depending on the project.

How is a typical week like?
The project schedule usually incorporates language classes during the mornings and in the afternoons the project members are involved in workshops, and other project related activities and visits helping in the production of a stunning online travel guide at the end.

How do I get to the language class and office?
Usually is on foot or by public transport.  This varies each year and project.

Is the flight included?
The cost of air travel is not included in the program fees.

Is accommodation included?
Yes! You will live with other project members in a shared apartment with bed linen, fully equipped kitchen, cooker, cutlery and crockery, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials, sitting room, bathroom, bedroom with fitted wardrobe and hangers, balcony, TV, radio, coffee maker, balcony, washing facilities on site, caretaker. Close by amenities including restaurants and cafes located in an offbeat alternative alive area. Also close to the quick reliable underground and transport systems (Contents and the area may vary from apartments and usually most project members will share a room)

Are meals included?
A welcome breakfast, including cereal milk, bread, butter, cheese, yoghurt, juice, etc., is included. And you will pay for other meal costs and your grocery.

Are tours and excursion included?
Yes, a bunch of exciting activities are organized to aid your production of the tourist guide! For more information, please contact us.


Money
How much money will I need for my time abroad?
Depends again on location.  Project members spending money is usually on food and what they do in their free-time.  Generally in Berlin for example for lunch project members spend anything from 2 euros 50 to 5 euros. Dinner if buying form supermarket they share food bills with their flat mates.  Most spend around 5 - 8 euros. Free-time spending is up to them.

Will I get paid for the internship?
This is an unpaid internship that aims to provide a hands-on and meaningful experience in your gap period that opens up and expends your career path.


Health and Safety
What happen if I get sick while I’m abroad?
Project members need to inform us and we can take the appropriate action to help.

What if something emergent happens while I’m abroad?
You will be given an emergency number before your arrival. Call them if you have any problems.
